Description:
Curufin was Feanor's favourite son. He was given his father's name, "because he alone showed in some degree the same temper and talents. He also resembled Feanor very much in face." His mother-name Atarinke referred to this likeness. (The Peoples of Middle-earth, HoMe 12, Last Writings, The Shibboleth of Feanor)
Curufin was the most malicious of Feanor's sons. He helped his father to set fire to the ships at Losgar. Later, he incited the people of Nargothrond against Finrod Felagund (together with his brother Celegorm) and tried to shoot Lúthien.
