I thought this was a lovely idea. The cloaks really did seem to look after their wearers and this gives us the reason.


I also liked guessing which cloak was which as each chapter unfolded.

But what I liked best was the Valar's obvious fear concerning a return of Feanor... that promises some further mischief and perhaps some more stories?

Poor Glorfindel, he always gets roped in to these kinds of things.

I very much enjoyed how you portrayed the characters, especially 'Glowing-ego', and the narrative gives a good picture of the setting without being overly descriptive. Loved it!

Interesting, a very good reasoning of their creation.  Good depiction of the break up of that family, too.  But where did the missing eighth stone go?
