Ch. 4: Thy Heart Shall Then Rest in the Forest No More
He spends hours high in the sweet-smelling canopy, the fir-needles whispering to him of another forest, far away.
I keep on returning to this, to re-read it again and again and again, and each time I re-read it, it makes me cry again. You capture what it is to be torn in two, to be in exile even when you are home.
This is beautifully written, and utterly heart-rending. Thank you for writing it.
