That's extremely nice. I like the nuances of their friendship, and the chapter in the forge in very moving. I like the subtle way you showed his effect on Valinor as well.

So am I - I hadn't realised till I first started thinking about Thranduil's departure from M-E (he's been muttering to me about it for a while) just how similar his circumstances and Celeborn's were. And while I don't think Thranduil ever got on with Galadriel, if you believe Unfinished Tales at least one version of Celeborn's genealogy has him as a fellow Sinda...
