I am also hoping, now, that Legolas finds someone suitable to resole his boots before he has to walk further in them...

I thought at first that you'd decided to go more AU and kill off Eowyn and Gimli. The relief when I realised you hadn't made this chapter seem positively light-hearted compared with the previous one.
I loved the last section where both Legolas and Gimli let the other know his love for him.

And he hadn't even yet started on Aragon.... Oh, this is precious. The reactions of battle's aftermath, the joy and the sorrow, are beautifully realized here. The friendship of one Dwarf and a particular Elf are also understood and realized here. Wonderful! More please....

Gorgeous images and description again - the carrion crows settling like black cinders; all the quiet, stunned flatness of the aftermath of battle. And then Imrahil coming dazzling into frame ;-)
I do like the mixture of pathos and humour too, both between the Peredhil and Aragorn and Imrahil, and then between Legolas and Gimli at the end. I was pleased both with the teasing between those two, and your bringing out of the fact that Gimli realised he had overstepped the mark - though he'd die rather than admit it!
