Ch. 12: The Battle of the Pelennor Fields
Oh my - I have just read the two chapters together and what strong chapters they are. The surgery so well described, the confusion so often caused by the identical twins so well written, with such consequences, and then that battle scene. What an excellent battle scene - I could feel the differing emotions of all concerned, and smell the blood, the gore, the mud, the fear...
Well written indeed.

Wonderfully crafted. Battle is never as easy to describe as people think, but you made the grit, blood and exhaustion come through. I hope that the three elves manage to reach an understanding soon - angst makes for a good story, but it's hell to live through. Can't wait for the next chapter, or two, or four.....

Ch. 12: The Battle of the Pelennor Fields
This is so sad - Elladan realising how Aragorn (and Arwen) will be lost to him, the death of Halbarad, Aragorn's self-reproach, the terrible misunderstandings between the elves and Legolas's loneliness. I hope the promised 'Many Meetings' help them all feel better.

Ch. 12: The Battle of the Pelennor Fields
Such vivid description again all through this chapter - aboard ship, on the battlefield. I love seeing the events of the Pelennor from different perspectives.
And you made me think in a way I never have before about the Peredhil losing Aragorn as well as Arwen - that anticipated loss, and their simultaneous grief at and acceptance of it, was really moving, and reminded me very much that they are indeed Elrond's sons...
If I had a tiny nitpick it would be that I think Mumakil is plural, and that the singular is Mumak.
Still loving this story!
