General Comment

This was great. The backstory you put into Lalaithiel's parents was well-done and informative. Thranduil's love for his wife is evident, and I liked their interaction. For me, the most touching part was when Lalaithiel told her mother about her husband's failure to give her a child. The emotion was poignant. Nicely done!

Not exactly the most pleasant or comfortable of dreams to have. A terrible thing to possibly foresee as he lies beside the one woman he has ever loved.

A needful interview, and one that in its way offers Thranduil the hope he needs. I only sorrow that his inlaws won't agree to accompany them, but understand their reasons.

Ch. 7: The Marble Arch

Sad that they must leave such a beloved place, but needful, and I rejoice that her love of him recognized how he sought mostly to protect her as he could. And her parents do understand, as she does now also.

Loved the visit with Gandalf and Radagast in the previous chapter, by the way, and the name by which Radagast called his fellow. Most appropriate!

This is a great story! The uncertainties of marriage, and moving to a new hoe, are so clearly shown. I am glad they made up in the end.
