Ch. 6: A Letter to Fingon (R-rated, slash)
I love Maedhros attempt at writing to Fingon. What a great way to say what you should as well as what you want and feel. I might try it myself next time I write to my Mother, she will laugh her head off and then ring to say she found it very funny, which I know rather defeats the purpose of writing in the first place.

Ch. 6: A Letter to Fingon (R-rated, slash)
Thanks so much, Casso, for your comments on the "Letter to Fingon" chapter of Endurance. I actually started to write that as a serious story. But in the process got involved in extensive research on horse archery throughout the ages and realized that Fingon's stunt was not nearly as flamboyant as it initially seemed to me. So the joke is on myself in that case--I was the one stereotyping Fingon as this wild and reckless guy.
Editing the letter is self-insertion as well, I often write two versions of emails -- the one I'd like to send and the one I really let go.
