Oh no, I've run out of chapters! Still, this was a very good one. A lot of stories have the heroine completely able to cope for herself with no troubles befalling her, but this seems more realistic. Seeing which possessions she chose to take and which she had to leave behind was very sad, but it's the reality of traveling by horse, there is only so much space.
Looking forward to seeing the next chapter soon! What will Alhael do when he finds her gone, or Amroth for that matter?

Glad I managed to produce a tear-jerker
Luckily Col turns out to be worth a lot, so she can have a sumptuous wedding dress! LBJ

Awesome! I'm so thrilled to see the sequel to Tide of Destiny is up! But no reviews yet? :( That must be disheartening, but I'll try to review often to make up for it. ;) ToD is one of my all-time fave LotR stories, so I'm really anticipating some good things from this one as well. :D
I really like Devoran already, it's nice to see the beginning of the references to ToD. She seems to have quite the effect on Amrothros already, which is good. He needs to be the chaser for once instead of the chased. xD

Hi Arcadia
Awesome! I'm so thrilled to see the sequel to Tide of Destiny is up! But no reviews yet? :( That must be disheartening, but I'll try to review often to make up for it. ;) ToD is one of my all-time fave LotR stories, so I'm really anticipating some good things from this one as well.
Wow! You certainly made up for it! Thanks a lot for all your comments, and great you are enjoying to new story. Amrothos was always a favourite of mine, and I wanted to include him.
I have also always been interested in the bit that Tolkien glossed over - the terrible aftermath of war. So many widows and orphans - I can't see how they managed such lavish celebrations, which is why I wanted to explore Duinhir's story. Going home without his two sons would have been devastating for his wife.
Thanks - New chapter soon. LBJ

Waiting for the next update of "Swansong" out of impatience I started to read "Drummer" again and was surprized that I did not remember how deliciously witty it is.
That Amrothos certainly is a cheeky devil, and his thoughts on noble Gondorean virgins quite entertaining!
"Did a maidenhead have a physical connection to the throat?" ![]()
Aswell his musing while watching his sister and her newly-wed husband are priceless!
Thank you for making a cold and rainy evening cosy.

Oh no! Talk about a wrench in the plans! Still, it's all very exciting, and I can't wait to see what will happen next. I love how you featured Aragorn's kindness at the beginning with the intent to make use of it later, I must admit at the time I did not expect she'd ever need to take him up on the offer.
And I have to say, I can't wait until the confrontation between Amroth and Alhael. Maybe he will just run the pig through. :D

Torture, pure torture to leave it at that! In retaliation, I refuse to review the chapter.
Who am I kidding? :P It was awesome to see Adhael get what he had coming to him -- the princes of Dol Amroth are quite ruthless when it comes down to it! The tracking was a nice touch, like something out of the books. All in all, a very good chapter, even if it ended on an anxious note!

Ooh, not one, not two, but THREE delicious chapters to catch up on! You're far more industrious an author than I am. Here are some author cookies -- also known as reviews! :
I found it very amusing that it took a woman to point out to Amroth why they hadn't heard word of a strange lady rider. :D Also, I'm glad I didn't have to suffer through another cliffhanger, as the next chapter is ahead of me, especially since this one is so ominous!

Oh, you ARE devious! Who is the father of Guleth's son? That's what I'd like to know! You are so cruel to leave something as tantalizing as that unanswered.
Looking forward to the next chapter (or chapters hopefully) and the wedding!

My goodness, what a suspicious bunch of readers I have!
Who would the father of Guleth's son be, other than her dead husband?

Huzzah, a new chapter. I have really enjoyed this story. I have also been re reading bits and pieces from 'Tides of Destiny'. Especially Serons prophesies and am now turning my thoughts to what you have in store for us in Part 3 (?) Thanks again for your writing and regular updates.
