Liked it - as ever with your great writting style. (-: I felt with Gimli and his dislike of horses, and laughed at the comment that there are horses in Rohan. Great of you to leave Theodred (so far) alive. But I am a bit afraid as to the end - not dead I hope?

Thanks Iva, and that ending effect was just what I had in mind.... heh heh... not about to spoil that surprise for you! One theme I'm trying to play with is that all mortal beings die... eventually... just perhaps not in the same place or at the same time as in the original... A

Well, I know it is a war and there will be casualities. And quite honestly I wouldn't mind that much by a character who was not really introduced in the books since I cannot very well be properly fond of him as I am of Boromir or Faramir. But I was not about to write it like this in a review - I feel badly to say it even now.
