Jay, I enjoyed this very much... have always mulled over the "two Glorfindels" vs "one reincarnated Glorfindel" theories and favored the latter. Great idea to have the book of poetry pass through Idril's hands and on and on... Loved the ending inscription. Thanks for this gem.

I've always felt that it's the same Glorfindel, and have used the idea in a story before.
I'm not sure that a book would survive the passage of time like this, but it was interesting to imagine how it *could* happen.
