Adaneth! You are back! Two chapters!!! Too bad that I'm at work and can't leave you a good review; I only have enough time to read them. When I get home, I will take more time to read and review. So Dirmaen is going to court her...and the Lady seems more open to him, at least, she is noticing his qualities and lamenting (well probably I'm exaggerating) that he will leave. What a terrible thing that Tearlag is pregnant, at the end, that poor baby is the one that will suffer, he didn't ask to come to this world and chances are that he won't be loved.

Just a quick comment from me: Your writing is as fabulous as ever! What stood out in the last two chapters were the renewed hints at Saelon's past. They give your story a depth that reminds me of Tolkien's own oeuvre.

Do not let yourself be rushed. Your readers are grateful for every chapter you bestow upon them.

And somehow mirroring Saelon's own. What teasing but rather terrible glimpses you give us of her past - and well done.

Bless Canand, though I wonder too what his response to the full truth will be. I'll hope for the best. Love your presentation of his manner and accent!

Of course, much appreciation for Saelon's strange reluctance and thoughts as she watched Dírmaen. :) Just when I'm feeling disgruntled and crushed, you deftly resuscitate my hopes!

"I have never doubted your honesty but once, Lady." I'm casting my mind back: when was this? When he saw Veylin giving her the jewel?

Incidentally, I love the herbage notes. It makes me want to add so much to our garden, especially as spring nears.
