Hand to Hand

It is so refreshing to see us Humans through the eyes of the dwarves and a female dwarf. What a difference between both races, it sad to see the little interaction between the races in Middle Earth and why not, in Earth. It is so easy to be prey of enemies when so much distrusting, ignorance is a good weapon in war. I can understand her perplexity of why they won't abandon their place after all the ordeal, but I'm human too and will not leave my home, in fact I'll want to rebuild it, I suppose that it is so irrational, but it is very Human I too believe that Saelon has to reconsider her position, she can not be alone anymore, she needs the Rangers protection, her own people, I know that dwarves are allies, but she needs to create bridges with the rest of her people, no more isolation. I suppose that if they come back to their home time, she will keep her own settlement, not everybody will leave the place, but the proximity of the village will help them to be more secure. Now, how is Dirmaen, do you realize that you keep the news from his recovery or lack of from us? Thanks and waiting for more.

Adaneth,
It is refreshing indeed to see men from the perspective of the dwarves - and to know that dwarves differ among themselves, too... Would that we knew how the wounded fare!

Thank you for your comments, Fantasia and Elrûn. The latest update on the wounded has just been posted.
And, now that RL has relented somewhat, I hope to be able to move things along a bit more quickly in the future.
Cheers--

Behind, as always these days, but each of your lovely chapters deserves a shower of reviews and I cannot skip...
I love Sút and Auð, and their reactions to Hanadan and then Halpan. The view of Men from the outside is so telling, not just of Men themselves (apt and accurate questions, Auð!) but then reflecting back wonderfully to Dwarven family beliefs and customs. And then Prut and lineage - lol!
Very touching scene between Halpan and Hanadan (the scamp!), awesome reactions all around (loved Bersi - He had raised sons), really felt for Halpan's embarrassment.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love Auð? She is one super class act. As is your incredible story; for me, your deeply-laid Dwarven perspective is the best in the fandom.
