Oh that made me ache in the most pleasant way. It's heartbreaking, because the ghosts are of the past, and yet it is such a comfort that they should linger! With few words (most of it pure dialog, even!) you capture the essence of the characters, and the story, while short, is engaging from the first sentence, and doesn't need to be longer at all.
My only questions is whether it's supposed to be 'Goolden Lynch' or 'Golden Lynch', and what a 'faunt' is. :3

Faunt is a commonly used term for young Hobbit children. I've not read enough of the Letters as yet to appreciate whether this term originated with Tolkien himself or is fanon.
If you check out Menegilda Brandybuck's maiden name, you'll learn she was a Goold. I've given some of the Goolds in the Southfarthing a plantation where they grow a variety of pipeweed they call Goolden Lynch, and that Frodo enjoyed smoking it. We already know there were different varieties of pipeweed, and I know from my own experience with the family smokers (I've never been a smoker myself) that each of them seems to have his or her own preference as to which each likes best. Wouldn't it be similar in the Shire?
Thank you so much for your very kind review!
