Oh My gosh! What a delightful story!
Those two showed up in the nick of time: They saved the girls from being arrested and saved poor Halgil of embarrassment by arresting....!

Glad you like it, RS. And a very happy birthday to you. Sorry the version on the forum didn't format correctly. It looked all right when I copied it into the forum, but certainly didn't stay that way!
My stepson and adopted daughter turned thirteen within a couple months of one another; and once the two of them reached the halfway point that year we thought the universe had just whomped us a good one up alongside the head! Heh!
