Ch. 1: A Far and Distant Star

This is lovely! I often wonder if it would not have been as hard for Earendil to leave his young sons as it was for them to lose him. It is interesting to see the seemingly all-wise and brave Elrond in a moment of doubt, then receiving comfort and courage from the father who seems, too often, to be lost to him. A beautiful image.
