Well, maybe the new necklace- ruby, after all- wouldn't look so good with shadows under your eyes and a red nose. :) Wouldn't like to spoil it. And chocolate, alas, does nothing for a runny nose.

Thanks, Soubrettina! I was actually suffering from the flu when I wrote it...it must be some sort of mental illness that being sick always inspires me to put my favorite characters in the same situation. And yes, Denethor seems to draw all sorts of bad luck to him...I couldn't resist that little jab when I looked at the Tale of Years.
