This is a neat little essay: meaty, given the subject, and to the point.
Are you asking for someone to write those tales, or is this part of your preparation to do so yourself? ![]()
Cheers--

I'd love to see more Second Age stories written. I've written a fair amount of Gil-galad, though most of it is on another site. (Someday, I'll get around to re-formatting - but then I start tinkering with all the imperfections... .)
I can rec a few, though: Vorondis' 'Mortal Shores' (slash), Zimraphel's 'I Bequeath', Nemis' 'Ereinion' (all here).

>>Am currently working on a series of stories where I am forced to consider whether or not to assert that Gil-Galad is Fingon's son or not. Am pretty sure that I will decide for the sake of my story line that he is not.
I think that either direction leads to some interesting questions. I left Tehta's 'Legends' off my mini-rec list because it's unfinished, but the premise of a youngish Gil-galad in semi-amicable conflict with his father's, erm, cousin is just as fascinating as the history of Sauron's conflict with Finarfin's descendants.
