Excellent bit here...not quite in cannon as Melian was reported as going far away from Doriath, but still an excellent account.

Thanks! No, it isn´t quite canon... except if we argue that the people who wrote the chronicles that would later become the Silmarillion stayed in Middle-Earth, and therefore couldn´t know what Melian had really done.
