Arwen's end has always been frustratingly murky to me, but this is a plausible and most welcome exploration of it.
I am intrigued by the idea you presented that Arwen measured herself against Luthien. I really loved Celeborn's line: "You know Lúthien's great deeds, but she could dance for a season and be surprised that others toiled." That was a stroke of brilliance.
