Hello Lia, Beautiful scene, the stolen kiss hidden by the fog! And Lothítiel, feeling Éomer's face, sensing not just how he looks like, but how he is inside as well.Where did you hide the men?! Sorry, but I love the LOTR's men, especially the gondorians, can't get enough and miss them when they're gone...This maiden's guide to proper deportment, is it of your authorship? I'm asking because I never saw anywhere else, and the Belecthor I know was a Steward.Hope you get better soon, not just so you can update, of course. I'll be a patient reader. Ch. 23: Fogbound

Hello Lady Simbelmyne,
yes, I thought Lothiriel finally deserved finding out what Eomer 'looks' like. The men - Aragorn will make another appearance in later chapters, but Faramir is stuck in Emyn Arnen for the time being (but I'm sure he doesn't mind).

The Gondorian maiden's guide to proper deportment is entirely my invention. In another story of mine (Black Eyes) Lothiriel's formidable aunt Ivriniel likes to quote from it, so I decided to resurrect it as a bit of a joke for this story.

The back is better by now and I'm busy writing again, except when it's lovely weather as right now. More next week!

Hello Shasta,
thanks! I really enjoy writing dialogue and I always have to look out that it doesn't take the whole chapter over. In Switzerland we call the most common edible mushrooms 'champignons' after the French word for them, so that's probably where my subconscious came up with it!

"I will continue my meal now and if I find you still within the bounds of my home when I'm finished I will..." her hands clenching at her side, she obviously thought of and discarded several possibilities, "...throw you in the midden. Personally."

Considering that Éowyn was a king's daughter I think she would use more civil words. Even if she is the famous Witch King Slayer :)
