Ch. 1: Locked Doors

I really love this story - though I see it was written some time ago, I saw it in the archives and am glad I read it.  I really enjoyed your use of the palantir to show Faramir what he needed to understand about his father.

I LOVE the interpretation of Faramir's name you gave.  The moment where Denethor held him was very touching - it was nice for me to see happier Denethor too.  I also think the way you showed how love to excess could become troubled and frustrating to a man like Denethor who seems to value his reason and wisdom more would result in coldness and feelings of betrayal on his part.

Ch. 1: Locked Doors

What an amazing and unique analysis of Denethor's relationship with Faramir! So multi-faceted and believable, and a story where a palantir is not evil. I only became a Denethor lover through fanfiction, but I always believed that the pyre was meant to be a merciful death for Faramir, not a murder. I was crying at the end of this.

Ch. 2: Author's Note

This is one of the best things about being able to read people's story comments.

I don't think I would have found this story if someone hadn't commented.

An incredible moment - captured in love. And the horn!

Very, very nice!
