What a treat to find a new chapter - an excuse to go back and re-read to remind me of the story so far!
And how interesting to see them trying to resolve the situation with the least harm to hearts as possible.

Thank you so much, Curiouswombat, for reading and commenting. I did not know if anyone would actually remember this story. I am going to try to pick up the speed of posting on this.
I am not sure I adequately foreshadowed what is coming up next (the hand-wringing is not over in other words). I don't think I really needed to spell everything out; it means that what's coming will be a surprise as the plot continues to unfold.
