What a satisfying chapter. All of these young royals are putting serious thought into both the the form and substance of leadership. Eomer is growing into his role as king while having the good sense to realize that he is inexperienced. Eowyn is right, he is good at this. The "combed, starched and following you around in your brothers' fancy shirts" comment is really quite funny.

Two comments about grammar:

1. Personal effects (not affects) are what Lothiriel is packing and unpacking.

2. Arwen has a 'weakness' for pretty gowns.

Bardess, thank you so much for the comments and I will get right on those typos! I am so happy when readers get the impression that I am trying to make (and, especially you, since I know you are not uncritical!). As you know from following this story, the road is never going to be smooth for this group--since I am trying to write them as young and growing and not as having hatched out of the egg fully formed into what they will become.
