Ch. 1: The Houses of Healing

It is intended to be short but I will have time to write about Eowyn and Faramir before the Armies of the West return to Minas Tirith. I intend to use the cultural differences/expectations between the South of Gondor and Rohan to delay a bit the discovery by Eomer and Lothíriel of who the other one is, e.g., she doesn't see a King as being so familiar with his men and so unpretentious. I think Eowyn may figure out who the mystery man is before Lothíriel and Faramir do--I am still chewing on that idea.

This a different portrayal of Lothiriel from the way I'm used to seeing her - and I like it very much! Your writing is beautiful and I genuinely feel the connection between Eomer and Lothiriel - and I like how neither knows who the other is. You characters truly come alive.

Bottom line: A *very* interesting beginning. You have hooked me!
