Ch. 1: Recalled To Life - Alqualonde
This is amazing! I am sure that many Ages would have to pass in Mandos before Maedhros were released, but I like to hope he would be released before his father. When he lists the Kinslayings, and has to keep saying them...and saying them...his crimes are clear. There is elvish patience and restraint all through this piece, so that it seems remarkable it was written by a mortal. And how very *Tolkien* that it would be his language that 'betrays' his change of heart. The combination of dignity and humility that drives him to seek forgiveness is artfully drawn.
Very well done - I offer you my thanks and praise.
