This is really creepy! From the frantic and horrifying end of the previous chapter to this quiet, mystefying calm. Very eerie.

Just read this again. It is truly an eerie and creepy chapter. Really well done. In addition to all that, relationship and dialogue between Aragorn and Halabarad continues to be so convincing.

Hi RS, oshun: Thanks for your comments, and reassuring me that I hit the creepy note I was aiming for. Can't say that you'll find much respite in the coming chapters. But of course, since it's Aragorn, we know it will all come out right in the end. I hope to post again in a few weeks. Sorry it's so slow!
