I read this before, and yet I didn't remember it right away, and so it was a surprise yet again to discover your bit of a twist. It may not bode well for my mind, but in this case it enhanced the experience that I was having a goldfish moment.
What if their places had been exchanged?
These were well thought out and well written ponderings and I really like that you left it for the reader to guess what the outcome might be.
