Truly wonderful. I love the opening of this heartfelt story.
I smile at the image of Aragorn going through his toys. What a wonderful gesture, Elrohir carving toys of real people for a young Estel.
Aragorn, practicing his true name without laughing. What a delightful picture. I love the way this ties with the meeting of Arwen as we all know what happens when Aragorn leaves to "practice his name" in the woods.

OH Gwynnyd,
This is exquisite - so much told in the space of, what? - fifteen minutes of Estel's new life!
I loved this line - "A brother by any name is always welcome."
The idea of using Aragorn's toys was brilliant!
Thanks for sharing this! I enjoyed it immensely.
