You know, Avon, I reviewed this story for the HASA archive ages ago, and it has stuck in my mind ever since then. I had a hankering to re-read it, but couldn't remember its name... so had to search through nearly 170 reviews to find it... and I'm so glad I did!
This story always warms my heart in the way that it shows the family members. Each character is so unique and so clearly defined by their actions and words, and how much they love and care for one another.... and Denethor is clearly-defined, even in his absence.
Very nicely done, Avon! (And I now have a bookmark to it....)
