This is one of THE best Legolas / Gimli friendship stories I've read showing their friendship from a completely unexpected POV! Well done! *loud applause* This is one that will remain one of my favorites for years. Do you post at ff.net as well?

terrific testimony to Gimli and Legolas's friendship. Nicely done tension in the final scene. I liked seeing Gloin finally come around to the idea, even if he wasn't 100% sold.
