Hi! I said elsewhere already how much I love this story! I loved the way you present Indis here (and I think the reasons given why she behaves this way very believable) - and I love the way you describe Nerdanel and Feanaro. This fic is one of my favorites about how the two of them might have fallen in love, and what might have attracted them to each other. Lovely done!

Great lines throughout for those who love to hate Indis: "Only the worst sort of people stay at a ball long enough to see Laurelin in full bloom." "Yes, mother," said Nolofinwë and Arafinwë in chorus. Fëanaro just stared out the window, refining his own definition of the worst sort of people. Also loved the earring line: "Her father's work, or hers?" On the question of glass. My answer to all challenges of anachronisms in any of my stories is to innocently tell the challenger that whatever-it-is was invented by Fëanaro.
