Gift for Pippin, A

Gwynnyd,
It is strange how a story will stay with you. I opened this to read for the comment testing, and when I saw the line about the comb, it confirmed my earlier suspicions - that I had indeed read this before. I love this tale! You did quite well in showing us Pippin's suffering. And the comb was such a nice touch!
Two favorite lines -He didn't need the steady litany of Merry's low voiced fussing to remind him how foolish he'd been to take that cursed ball.
"Though it does not seem to me worthy to be an heirloom for your house."

Hi Gwynnyd
This is a wonderful idea: To have Legolas comfort Pippin.
I always felt sorry for Pippin, not even of age and prone to rash actions like all teenagers, but always with the best of intentions.
Trust an elf to seek his true heart and make an effort to re-establish his confidence.
Thank you!
