Oh, Thundera, I don't even know where to start with this story!
I adore the tone of wry understatement to underline the mounting panic of your POV character.... and some of his observations are just hysterical!
It was rather unprecedented, really.
For a moment, Abunai was tempted to say that it had been a bat.... Bats were acceptable inhabitants of dungeons.
...we have also learned that Shelob's offspring are much more difficult to control....
My reaction ranged from evil grin to astonished chuckles to out-and-out hysterical laughter....
