Hi, Jay!
I always loved and hated this story in equal measure: loved it, because it is so beautifully written and so very moving; "hated" it for the tragic theme, because tragedy strikes so very suddenly here and is written so very compelling that it fills me with helpless grief, and reminds me of how sudden loss can strike. Reading it again, the story moves me as it did the first time. Thank you for writing this! It is really beautiful, if very sad!
