I missed these last three chapters, Ang, but they were magnificent - especially # 66 and 67 - though the new 'characters' you brought into 68 were definitely a treat in an odd way. As for the fruit, good idea, LOL VERY good idea.... Enjoyed his thoroughly and can't wait for the next chapter.

I should know by now that the story is just going to get better.
That was a twist. A very inventive use of canon that makes the reader go and re-read things. The description of how the watchers change is subtle, taking on meaning only after a certain point. What did Denethor pick up?
Maiaberiel isn't going to stop, is she? I don't like where that story line is going. Brandir is clever in his own way.
My favorite part of this chapter is Finduilas reading the book and thinking about love. It's not as exciting as the rest of it, but it is what stays with me.
The last part helps explain something - How did Gandalf know where a certain thing lay? It would not have been common knowledge. Laanga told him.
