5. Never Lonely

"Do you ever wish you'd had a little brother to play with, Bilbo?"

He looks up quizzically from his drawing, but she continues- has to know.

"Or a little sister?"

 He considers this and for a moment looks so serious- so like her Bungo in miniature…

 "No."

 She raises an eyebrow.

 "Really?"

 He nods.

 "You're never lonely?"

 He shrugs.

 "But then I remember I have you and Daddy and it goes away."

 He turns back to his drawing.

 "Anyway, they'd only want to have adventures- nasty horrid things!"

 She chuckles and returns to her own drawing.

 Nasty horrid things indeed…
