He sees it all – Gandalf beaming, Strider clapping him on the back, his old Gaffer grinning broadly – and Rosie's shy proud smile. Samwise the Strong, Hero of the Age...

Nonsense, Sam Gamgee. Now get on. Shaking his head, he continues doggedly down the path.
