6. Denethor

Near the end of days, a boy of Mardil's line hears the same rhyme. It entrances him, though he won't tell--old he is, for children's legends, and The Tree long dead.

But he cannot forget. And, older, his sword sings in defense of the city of the Tower, and Tree.

Then he sings it to his son. He will not be King after him, but may he live to uphold the legacy of N?menor, he hopes.

His other boy hopes differently: May the glory of N?menor shine on them again.

Children's stories! Waste of time!

Yet he can never forget.
