Erestor bowed.
"I know Elrond is grateful."
"So do I," he said, regretting the subtle flinch he provoked.
"Because you have known him longer than I?"
"That will soon change."
An excited, passionate gleam, shone briefly in her eyes before melting into the proper expression. "Do you regret it?"
He had. Until that look. "It seems my friend will be in good hands," he said, and smiled.
