9. WHAT IF........
A/N: Once upon on a message board, someone posted a question: "Frodo went through a lot to destroy the Ring; how might he have been spared all the trouble?" (or something like that--it's been a while)...Well, here's what I came up with.....fortunately for us readers, it didn't happen;)
Sauron: [admiring his new creation] Ring, Ring upon my hand, who's the most powerful in the land?
Ring: O Sauron, thou art powerful, in truth,
Puissant and mighty, but forsooth
I'll pass unto a King most brawny
And then unto a creature scrawny
Who'll lose me to a shorter galoot
Who'll give me to his nephew most cute
Who'll toss me back from whence I came
Thy tower shall topple into the flame
And when all this shall come to pass
The Bards will sing how you lost your----
Sauron: WHAAAAAAAAT???? I don't @#$%^&*ing THINK SO!!!!!! [tosses Ring into fire]
Ring: AAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
