Aragorn drew up alongside the younger man and said, "Look behind them on the steps."
In a soft, expressive voice, Elboron read from the heavy book the boys held between them on their knees.
"He reads unusually well for one so young," Aragorn said.
"Do you think so?" Faramir asked, coloring with pleasure.
"Well, perhaps not for his father's son."
