There clasped him gently Maedhros the scion of Curufinwe,
for Nerdanel moved him with murmured cooing
and he said: "Lo, O son of the spirit of fire,
the light in bliss, the loyal in need,
Maedhros of the house of fire, thy home is with me,
and here thou shalt sojourn and be held my firstborn son.
