1. Of Stone and Fire

"A Naugrim? She gave three strands of her hair to one of the Naugrim?"

Fiery rage roared through the Halls of Mandos, a breath of fierce dedication and pride that reached the eastern shores of Valinor.

~*~

Gimli stood still, his feet rooted in the golden sands of Valinor, his eyes feasting on the serene beauty of the Undying Lands – the beauty that had borne her. Did he sense the wrath of fire in the breeze?

If he did, his granite face did not show it. Yet his hand rose and stroked the golden thread by his heart.

Stone fears not the Fire.

Oh, I like this, Werecat! Yeah, I'll bet Fëanor would be furious that Galadriel is so perceptive, and knows who to value and who not. And Gimli certainly qualifies as someone to value!

Great imagery, with stone and fire....
