3. Letting Go
A quill, scratching out a new recipe. Gran’s recipes, now mine. Ma gave them to me. A gift, she said. Remember her like she was before. Baking and smiling when the whole family gathered.
A hat, hanging by the door. Granda’s hat, now mine. Uncle gave it to me. A gift, he said. Remember him always. Telling stories at the head of the table, and laughing.
Memory. It will be enough.
