Good heavens, Nath!
I re-read this story, and it creeped me out all over again.... The thought of Smaug roaming Wilderland is bad enough, but the rest of The Wise being either dead or ineffectual.... Ah, me, what a horrid fate for Middle-earth!
And Saruman is so in-character here.... beautifully written, Nath!
