General Comment

A wonderful read. A fusion of the present and past memories that leads to Aragorn's determination to fulfill his destiny. A journey through Aragorn's toil, full of painful longing and yearning to achieve his (and his love's) one dream. Very emotional. Beautiful!

Thank you!

I never subscribed to the movie!verse fiction that Aragorn didn't want the responsibility of rule. But for him to stand up, whip out his sword and declare his lineage seemed uncharacteristically forthright for someone who had 'hidden in shadows' all his life. That and the 'flickering flame on his brow' seemed to point out that something had happened the night before.

Wonderful characterization. I loved it. It is so realistic, I can feel exactly what Aragorn feels and the weight of responsibility.
