General Comment

I think what I like most about this story is that it makes a full defence of this scene without ever making Denethor soft. He's not abusive or any of the other negative fanons we associate with him, but he is the hard man to love that I imagine when I read Tolkien (at least this close to the end of his life). Some very rich scenes going on here!

This is probably one of the cleverest uses of this scene that I've seen in a long time. It does a great job with all of the characters - thanks for the window into these moments.
