Hi, Salsify!
"Flotsam" popped up as the Featured Story. I enjoyed (if that's the correct word, since it's rather disturbing) it so much, I followed the links to your other stories, and liked them as well.
Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy "Heirloom of Power and Peril", as it shows "0" for word count. Is it just set to private? Will you be displaying it any time soon?
Also, if your muse happens to nudge you along on "What They Expect to See", that would be swell!

Aah, this is beautiful. This is exactly the kind of fanfiction I like too read, as it deals with the kind of stuff that I tend to think about (and miss, I have to admit) when I read Tolkien.
