Story Summary

Hiding a vulnerable princeling from enemy eyes and concealing his identity until he's grown are certainly the stuff of legends. But even if the legend is true, it probably does not tell the whole story. Would Gilraen have preferred to raise Aragorn as his father's son and not hidden his identity? Would Elrond expect Aragorn's mother to come with him to Rivendell, or would he believe it easier to hide the boy from Sauron's eye if she lived elsewhere? That they ended up together in Rivendell, and that Aragorn's identity was successfully concealed, is fact. But how? 2005 MEFA Awards 1st Place (Gap-Filler - Drama)

Playlists Featuring the Story

Gwynnyd's stories in order - 4 stories - Owner: Hack and Burn Editing
Just a test place to list stoires. An internal chronological listing of my Aragorn stuff.
Included because: Arathorn and Gilraen - why Aragorn was sent to Rivendell
Radio Rec List - 9 stories - Owner: Dwimordene

Thanks to the marvel that is the mp3, there's rarely a perfectly silent moment in my conscious life. Whether it's someone else's annoying iPod or my own stuff, there's pop music aplenty and much repetition. This is where the trite and the literary meet. Read on, while I date myself (child of eighties and nineties), display my musical tastes for good or ill, cause cognitive dissonance, and perhaps recommend some stories.

Created for the HASA Playlist Challenge.

Included because: 'I Do', by Lisa Loeb. Key lines: 'You’re trying to convince me that what I’ve done’s not right. I get so frustrated, I stay up every night. You ask me for an answer, and I’m so tired and I’m up in the air. Everybody feels this way sometimes, everybody feels this way And I do. You can’t hear it, but I do.'
